Whoever came up with the idea of brunch was a genius! Who doesn't love combining eggs, pancakes and waffles with a wide selection of hot foods and not to mention desserts! It inspires us to find quality midday meals. I mean why eat two meals when you can combine them into one and did I mention mimosas? At brunch, it's perfectly acceptable to drink before noon!

My girlfriends and I decided to try brunch at Colette Grand Cafe, a French inspired restaurant in Toronto which serves, brunch, lunch and dinner.

Reservations are hard to come by at this restaurant so I made sure to make them at least a month before. With such a long wait leading up to our brunch, I was very hopeful that it was going to be amazing! Unfortunately, that was not the case. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special.

Sadly, besides the beautiful decor, I probably won't be back for brunch again.

Some of the food offerings for Sunday brunch.

We took the restaurant's last brunch seating at 2.30pm and maybe that was our downside. Most dishes were always empty or slow to be refilled and it seemed like we were eating the "leftovers". On the other hand, their bakery off to the side of the restaurant has delicious baked goods so I will definitely be picking some up a few times over the summer.

The upside to the day was I got to spend time with my girlfriends on a Sunday to catch up and have some giggles!

I'm obsessed with OTS tops at the moment and have quite a collection going. I'm also taking advantage of wearing as much white as I can this Spring and Summer!

I would love to know where you would recomend going for brunch in Toronto, do share! I'd love to hear from you!
