Beauty Favourites - June

This month's beauty favourites are mostly from my neighbourhood drug store. Put aside the fancy packaging and brand names, these products in my opinion are just as good as those luxury brands.

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Make Up Setting Spray

Ok, so all the products but this one was bought at the drug store. I bought this at Sephora. I decided to try a setting spray for the summer to prevent my makeup from melting off my face. I was actually surprised at the difference it made! My face didn't get "shiny" or oily till very much later in the day. The only downside, the smell. They could make this smell just a little nicer.

Colour Sensational Lip Colour by Maybelline

I love these lipsticks and sometimes I wonder why I buy luxury brand ones that cost ten times more! I got these on sale for $5.99 each! At this price, I can buy more than one shade of nude lipstick.

Jergens Natural Glow

I'm not a fan of tanning beds or baking in the sun (I have sun spots on my chest from doing that when I was younger). I've tried several gradual tanning mositurizers and I've not notice significant differences between drug store and luxury brand ones. They also all seem to smell the same. I do like this one from Jergens. Used for three days morning and night, I do see some colour on my arms and legs.

Marcelle Face Powder

I bought this face powder in translucent on sale for $14 (I think). I figured if it wasn't good I could throw it out and wouldn't feel bad about it. Three months later and I'm loving this powder. I use it to set my BB cream or foundation and it's not "cakey" and doesn't form lines on my face as the day goes on. Even at full price, this is a great buy!

I think sometimes we get so caught up on the luxury brands with their pretty packaging and marketing that we forget there are lots of other affordable beauty products out there that deserve a mention as well. What are your favourites from the drug store?
